It’s really hard for me to talk about things that matter so much but somehow I have to introduce this EP I’ve launched a couple of days ago 🙂 “At the very beginning” is a collection of sounds I’ve been working over the past months.

It is an experimental journey through electropop soundscapes, crafted to tell a story without using a single word. It is very different from the preiovous EP “Dopo le sette di sera” that was a collection of sound design and voices with poetry.

At the very beginning is pure electronic. Each track is a pulse, a spark, an emotion translated into rhythm and texture. Without lyrics, the music becomes a canvas—open to personal interpretation, allowing every listener to build their own narrative.

The tracks represent the ABCD of this experience as their titles suggest.

Some of these songs were something else in their previous shape. Since I’ve started a music production course I’ve experimented and get curious about different techniques to produce electronic sounds and sounds design (thanks also to YouTubers for all these great tutorials. You can find treasures around).

So I’ve created them basically using an AKAI Key 25 MK2 controller with Ableton and Logic. And then a great suggestion I received: Arcade software.

I’ve decided not to use guitar and need all the sounds digital with different influences and notes. The last track “Dancing Lo-fi, for example, comes from a music note I took more than 4 years ago. The sounds sometime is really basic and not expert, this is the reason why of the title. Also because naming it “Absolute Beginner” was really pretentious 🙂
